Luminance is not your average mask.
As with all of our products, Luminance is inspired by what I look for in my skincare — potent actives, mindfully-crafted, synergistic botanical blends, and a formula that is biocompatible with your skin physiology.
So, instead of drying clays that are often mostly composed of iron and aluminum that may exacerbate inflammation or comedogenic emulsifiers and stabilizers, I formulated a mask that purifies, clears, brightens, and hydrates the skin with biocompatible, non-comedogenic botanicals and actives! I’m so excited to have an acne-safe, non-drying mask we can all reach for during our self-care rituals.

Rice ceramides and an electrolyte blend work together to reduce transepidermal water loss, promote cellular hydration, and ramp up your skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid.
Apply a liberal amount to the face and neck after cleansing. Let sit for at least 10-15 minutes for optimal absorption of active ingredients. Then, rinse away and follow with the rest of The Sana Method.

FAQs
Azelaic acid (and any direct acid, really!) can be irritating to the skin at high concentrations. Luminance is not an exfoliating mask and contains less than 1% azelaic acid. So, the azelaic acid in Luminance will not irritate the skin!
The unique formulation allows us to use a small, non-irritating amount of azelaic acid while maintaining the brightening effects of azelaic acid.
We hear you! Masks can cause breakouts when they contain certain ingredients.
Most masks usually contain one of a few ingredients that might irritate acne-prone skin: comedogenic emulsifiers, clays with inflammatory metals, or comedogenic hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid (which can also be inflammatory).
Luminance contains no comedogenic emulsifiers, no drying clays, and no potentially problematic humectant ingredients. Instead, we use gentle, yet powerful botanicals with ingredients that stimulate your skin’s own production of hyaluronic acid in a non-comedogenic emulsion base.
